The Business Academy is one of the most technically advanced schools being equipped with leading edge ICT facilities and its own ‘mini stock exchange’. In addition to this it has state of the art learning facilities which include a TV Studio complete with fully equipped editing suite, Radio Studio with production facilities, fully equipped Technology rooms for Cookery through to computer aided design and production, Theatre/Auditorium complete with full sound stage and lighting rigs and a Sports Hall with full Climbing Wall.
The building has been designed by Architects Foster & Partners to allow the natural flow of air in its glass and steel construction and it is encased with Electronic Solar Louvres to control the sunlight and heat entering the building.
The Rt Hon Tony Blair, Prime Minister, and the Secretary of State for Education, Charles Clarke MP, officially opened the Building on 18th September 2003. |
